I have set up an ADS-B Receiver

Postby packo88 » Sun Nov 08, 2015 9:10 am

I haven't been flying much on the servers lately, but when I do I enjoy it immensely. After writing this post I will have some dinner and my even do a few hops :-)

What I wanted to let you know is what I have been up too for the past few days. I have set up an . What that does is tracks aircraft within a certain area from my place with an antenna I have made and mounted on the roof.

Im having a bit of fun competing with others to gain rank with the amount of planes and positions I get from day to day, so experimenting with antenna placement and design is adding to the fun :D

You can check out my stats here

You can see my radar here. *Note Sydney airport has a curfew from Midnight to 6am so it wont show much around that time

If you want any more info of how to do it let me know. Only too glad to guide you in the right direction.

Hmmm. Looks like I have a lot to learn. All was going well until we got a bit of rain. May have gotten some moisture in my antenna. Now I will have to wait until the roof is dry enough to get up there and have a look at it :?
